1 Peter 3:12 - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Who are the righteous that this verse speaks of? 2 Corinthians 5:21 - For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Any born-again believer is righteous in Christ Jesus. The word righteousness means to be in right standing with God. Your righteousness is not based on how good or bad you are, but on your relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us that God’s ears are open to your prayers. You never have to wonder if your prayers are getting through to God. His Word says they are! God hears and sees; He is mindful of all that you need. It’s good to know that we have a God who is kind and compassionate, eager to help and bless His children.
We must do our part and ask in faith, believing He will respond. Listen to the words of Jesus as He taught His disciples to pray: Matthew 7:7-8 - “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Even though God wants to bless and help us in our lives, the Bible teaches us that we must still ask. This is how we activate our faith. We ask confidently, knowing that God will answer. We also pray according to His will, which is found in His Word. When you pray according to the Word of God, you know you will receive the answer.
1 John 5:14-15 - Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
If you pray according to His Word, it’s according to His will. The challenge in prayer is believing in His word over the circumstances, needs, or problems in your life. That is why keeping your heart and mind full of His Word is essential. Have you asked God for help today? Be purposeful in prayer, and don’t just grumble with God about life; ask Him to help. Ask God to intervene, provide, heal, save, and believe He will. He is a God of His Word.
Go to His Word and find the answers that you need. Pray and ask God to move in your life and get your answer by faith today!
