Did you ever have one of those days that doesn't seem to end? It seems like those days are becoming more frequent. Life is hard, and troubles come, but we can overcome them; sometimes, we just need to remember how.
Psalm 91:15 - He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
The Bible says that God will be with us in our troubles. It's easy to look at our circumstances and wonder where God is. We must take God at His word and trust that He is not only with us but also that He will deliver us. When you are going through something really hard, it can be the most challenging time to believe in God. You can become so focused on the problems that you lose sight of God and forget He has the answers you need.
Perhaps out of frustration, you might even blame God for your troubles, or at least it doesn't look like He is helping you. Our job is to believe; our response to the problems determines what happens to us in life. If we allow them to discourage us and bring us down, God is limited in how He can help us. God is looking for us to act upon His word. He wants us to trust Him, and that doesn't mean sitting back and complaining about all the stuff that's wrong in life.
We shouldn't be surprised when troubles come; the Bible tells us they will.
1 Peter 4:12-13 - Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
This is not a doctrine of suffering. Some think that we all have to suffer like Jesus did. No, He suffered so you wouldn't have to. Yes, the Bible talks about problems and troubles that we may face in this life, but it also tells us the results if we trust God.
Psalm 34:19 - Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
The Lord will deliver you! God wants to help you in your time of trouble, but you must ask Him and believe in Him that He will.
Hebrews 4:16 - Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
In times of trouble, you need to go to God and allow Him to help you, call out to Him, and ask Him to intervene in your life situations. God knows exactly what to do to fix the problems in your life. Trust Him, keep your eyes on Him, speak His word to the mountains in your life, and believe that God is working on your behalf.
Romans 8:31-32 - What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
God is for you! He wants to help you in every way. Don't listen to the lies of the enemy that tell you that God doesn't care; take your eyes off the problems and put them on His word. Know that God can deliver you from any situation, trouble, or circumstance today. Ask Him to help you today; He will!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you that you are my God and your word says that you are for me. I am thankful that even though in this life I go through troubles and problems, that you promised to bring me out of them. Help me to keep my eyes on you, especially when times are hard. I ask you to help me with any problems and bring me out today with victory. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
