This week at Victory Community Church, we were reminded that true freedom isn’t just political or emotional, it’s spiritual. In John 8:36, Jesus says, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
We looked at how bondage can take many forms: sin, shame, addiction, fear, insecurity, or even our past. But the good news is that Jesus came to break every chain and lead us into a life of freedom, purpose, and peace.
Key Takeaways:
-
Bondage is anything that keeps us from walking in the fullness of who God created us to be.
-
True freedom is not the absence of struggle but the presence of Christ.
-
Freedom begins with surrender. When we lay down our pride and pain at the feet of Jesus, He brings healing and restoration.
-
Walking in freedom means we no longer let our past define us; we are made new in Christ.
Let’s continue to walk in that freedom daily, staying close to Jesus, renewing our minds with His truth, and encouraging one another in love.
